La Croisille-sur-Briance
L'Enclos du Bélier is located in the village of La Croisille-sur-Briance, a small, authentic country town where a bakery, supermarket, bar and pharmacy are located. In the river Briance, 800 meters from the gîte and chambres d'hôtes, you can enjoy a nice foot bath. (the river is still very small, it starts a few kilometers from here)
The Limousin
La Croisille-sur-Briance is located in the middle of the rolling hills of the Limousin, where you can go hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and so on. In short: enjoy nature at its best.
Mont Gargan
A hiking trail of between 5 and 18 kilometers runs from the farm yard to Mont Gargan, a mountain of over 700 meters high. At the top of the mountain is the beautiful ruin of a chapel built between 1868 and 1871 - with a breathtaking view.
Limoges
Limoges, the European porcelain capital, is about 30 kilometers from the farm. Even if you don't care much for porcelain, you can easily spend a day wandering around there. For example, visit the cathedral of St. Étienne, or discover the botanical gardens of Evêché.
